Baked Chicken and Rice

  • 5 c Chicken broth
  • 1 c Heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp Melted butter
  • 1/4 c Grated raw onion
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 2 c Long grain white rice, uncooked
  • 20 oz Tyson frozen pulled chicken breast, thawed

Pour the melted butter into a 13x9 inch casserole dish. Whisk in the flour, seasonings and a little of the liquid. Add the remaining liquid and onion and mix thoroughly. Stir in rice. Cover with foil. 

Bake at 350 for 50 minutes. Uncover. Bake 15-25 minutes longer. Stir in chicken during the last few minutes.
